One of the largest Rolex watches available, the Rolex Yacht-Master II features a 44mm 18ct yellow gold case, bi-directional 18ct yellow gold bezel with blue Cerachrom finish and gold numerals, and an 18ct yellow gold bracelet. Includes programmable regatta countdown timer, and is water resistant up to 100m.
Released in 2007, the 18ct Yellow Gold Rolex Yacht-Master 116688 became one of the two first Yacht-Master II models which was formed of 18ct white gold with a platinum bezel.
This distinctive piece is formed in a 44mm 18ct Yellow Gold case, the biggest available on any Rolex, whilst the ‘Ring Command’ bezel is bidirectional and rotatable through 90 degrees, allowing the wearer to interact with the movement to control different complications. The bezel itself is blue cerachrom with gold numerals, ensuring it is scratch and fade resistant.
Following the success of the original Yacht-Master, this updated model was designed with the needs of the elite yacht racing world in mind. This was the first watch to feature the new Rolex patented ‘Ring Command’ bezel, enabling the setting of a regatta countdown period of up to 10 minutes.
