One of the most elusive and highly sought after watches in the world, the Rolex GMT-Master II 116710BLNR is incredibly difficult to comeby, especially since discontinuation by Rolex. This 'Batman' was first registered in 2015, and comes complete with inner and outer boxes.
The GMT-Master II collection from Rolex was originally conceptualised as a watch to support airline crew and designed in a collaboration with Pan American airlines. The watch has the ability to read across 3 timezones simultaneously using the usual hour and minute hands for 'local time', and the additional hand used as a the international reference time of GMT, hence the original name GMT-Master. A third timezone can also be red by rotating the bezel the required amount of hours forward or backwards from GMT.
Since the release of the BLNR model variant, this model has become loving known as the Rolex Batman due to the 2 colour ceramic bezel with black indicating hours of darkness and blue hours of daylight. The watch is produced in 904L grade stainless steel is is only available on the Oystersteel bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and easylink extension system. As with all GMT-Master II models the 'Batman' is constructed within a 40mm Oyster case with a water resistance rating of 100m.
This watch comes with box, a 12 month GWS, and a watch register certificate covering due diligence checks carried out against the provenance of the watch.
