Can a shock disturb my luxury watch?

Yes, depending on the nature and force of the shock.


What is the tachymeter on my watch for?

The word tachymeter comes from the words tachos (speed) and metrons (measure). The tachymeter is a measurement of speed and when used in conjunction with a chronograph, the tachymeteric scale gives a reading of average speed over a certain distance.



Serial Numbers

Rolex serial number check

It is possible to use the serial number to check the year of production of your watch (prior to 2010) and also search for a title check against insurance and police databases.


Where is the serial and model number on my Rolex?

Prior to 2005 serial numbers could be found when removing the bracelet between the lugs. Between 2005 and 2010 Rolex transitioned to having the serial number on the rehault, visible next to the dial in the 6 o'clock position. From 2010 all serial numbers were made visible on the rehault. Serial numbers can also be found on the watch papers or on the warranty card.



Servicing

When do I need to service my luxury timepiece?

We would recommend that your watch should be serviced if it starts to gain or lose time outside of the normal specifications. If you are planning to take the watch in water we recommend getting the watch pressure tested every 12 months.

Rolex warranty valid?

Providing the warranty period for any Rolex watch has not expired, the Rolex warranty will remain valid. If the manufacturers warranty has expired when you purchase a watch from us, you will receive 12 months GWS warranty.
